Innovation & Sustainability: Redefining the Future
May 30–31, 2026
In a world that is rapidly changing due to technological advancements, climate challenges, and shifting global dynamics, innovation has become essential. The Akademiet Model United Nations conference will focus on how nations can develop and implement innovative solutions to address global issues, promote sustainable development, and strengthen international cooperation.
Akademiet MUN brings together students from across Scandinavia to engage in diplomatic simulation, debate pressing global issues, and develop the skills of tomorrow's leaders. Whether you are a seasoned delegate or attending your first conference, AKAMUN offers a platform to sharpen your rhetoric, broaden your worldview, and forge lasting connections.
Dear delegates, organisers, guests, and members of the MUN community,
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I welcome you to the Akademiet Model United Nations 2026. This year's conference centres on a theme that could not be more urgent: Innovation & Sustainability — Redefining the Future.
As the challenges of our time grow increasingly complex — from climate change to emerging conflicts over critical infrastructure — so too must our commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and creative problem-solving. AKAMUN 2026 is built on the belief that young people are not merely the leaders of tomorrow, but the architects of change today.
Whether you are stepping into committee for the first time or returning as an experienced delegate, I encourage you to engage with courage, listen with intent, and debate with respect. The resolutions you craft here may be simulations — but the skills you build are unmistakably real.
On behalf of the entire Secretariat, I thank our Student Officers, advisors, and partners for making this conference possible. We look forward to welcoming you to Sandvika.
